Some teaser shots.

I'll try to get an article put together sometime during the weekend.

It's actually a table from inside the dining car of the train "Den-Liner".

As I've mentioned elsewhere, I've been a little busy lately.
I know, that's not a good enough excuse for slacking, but that's all I can give you.

I haven't been able to put an actual article together, but I'll mention the items which I thought were of interest.

UMC:  Urban Materials Chogokin.  The new Mazinger Z figure made out of premium material, Carbon Fibre and Titanium.  Price is expected to be in the 2,000,000yen ($20,000) range.

1:35 scale Gundam RX-78-2.  Approximately 50cm (20inches) tall with an expected price exceeding 50,000yen ($500).

KyoukaGaikokkaku Zero: Powered Exoskeleton Zero.  New addition to the S.H. Figuarts series.

ok, fill me in dudes, who's the metallic finished guy w/ the horns and the white scarf in the fourth teaser photo?

and out of curiosity, does anyone else look at those gundam fix figs and just think "these guys should be designing spacecraft, they're wasting their times w/ toys!" cuz boy, they just really blow me away.  that's not even play anymore, that's engineering WORK.

Considering the fact that most motorcycle designs today seem to have been influenced by Kamen Rider and many other vehicles and buildings seem to have a touch of 1970s animation design elements, I'm inclined to believe that the toy market is in fact a test market for practical applications of the future.

The US military (DARPA) has admitted to using the loader in Aliens and the Labors from Pat Labor as blueprints for some of its 'Mech'anized Soldier programs.
